A Yoga, Pilates and Mindfulness Retreat
A one-week experience designed to cultivate strength, clarity, and embodied presence.
Not strength for performance, and not presence through force — but a kind of power that feels grounded, calm, and deeply connected.
Throughout the week you will move with intention, exploring the balance between movement and stillness, effort and ease, strength and surrender.
Expect dynamic yoga and pilates sessions to cultivate strength, energy and clarity. These will be paired with deeply grounding practices of yin yoga, sound healing, and guided meditation to support nervous system regulation and integration.
Three guided breathwork journeys are woven throughout the week, offering opportunities for deeper release, and connection.
This retreat invites you to fully drop in — meeting strength with softness and action with awareness. It’s for people who want to feel powerful in their bodies while softening into the kind of grounded presence that you can carry home with you.
MEET THE TEACHERS

KATIE
Katie, from the UK, is an E-RYT 500-hour yoga teacher of Vinyasa & Therapeutic yin. After years of practicing and facilitating yoga, she trained as a pilates instructor, and loves to combine the mindfulness of yoga with her pilates classes for a powerful but conscious workout. Katie has also studied Thai Massage and Reiki, as well as Sound Healing, and loves to incorporate sound into her yoga sessions.

ALANNAH
Alannah, from the US, is an E-RYT 500-hour yoga teacher who has been leading classes and hosting retreats in the yoga and wellness space for over six years. She is a trauma-informed space holder, specialising in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga. As a conscious connected breathwork facilitator, she is passionate about guiding people through transformative breathwork journeys.
WHY ALANNAH & KATIE TOGETHER
Alannah and Katie met three years ago through the yoga community here in Sri Lanka, connecting over a love of movement, nature, and this beautiful island that they now call home. While each brings their own unique offerings to the retreat, they share the same laid-back vibe and come together to facilitate in a way that feels intimate, grounded and nourishing.
A DAY AT THE RETREAT

Tea, coffee or fresh coconut water, served before practice.
8:30 – 10:00
Dynamic Vinyasa or Pilates session.
10:30
Brunch, followed by free time to rest, read, journal or enjoy the space.
13:00 – 14:30
Guided breathwork or sauna & ice bath session (on selected days).
15:00
Fresh fruit platter and time to integrate.
16:30 – 18:00
Yin / restorative yoga, guided meditation or sound healing session.
18:30 – 20:00
Dinner together, with special themed evenings during the week.
FOOD AND NOURISHMENT
Food is an essential part of the retreat experience, designed to support practice, energy, and digestion.
Before morning practice
Fresh coconut water, tea or coffee to gently awaken the body.
Brunch
An à la carte brunch combining Sri Lankan and Western-inspired dishes, prepared with fresh local produce and a vegetarian-focused approach.
Afternoon refresh
A light fruit platter served before the evening practice.
Evening meals
Dinners are mostly à la carte, with one Sri Lankan buffet night and one Italian-themed dinner during the week.
Dietary requirements can be catered for, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
MOVEMENT, POWER & EXPERIENCE
Opening & Closing Circles
We begin and end the retreat in circle - a shared space to arrive, set intentions and reflect. These moments anchor the experience, creating connection, presence and a sense of closure before returning home.
Vinyasa Yoga
Dynamic and fluid practices linking breath and movement. Vinyasa sessions are designed to build strength, focus and embodied awareness, always adapted to the energy of the group.
Yin Yoga
A slow, grounding practice focusing on deep connective tissues. Yin invites stillness, patience and release, creating space both in the body and the mind.
Yoga Nidra
Deeply nourishing practices dedicated to rest and nervous system regulation. Supported postures and guided relaxation allow the body to fully let go and recharge.
Mat Pilates
A controlled, full-body practice that uses the breath — and sometimes props — to help access deeper layers of the core. This mat-based workout sculpts and strengthens from the inside out, improving posture, stability, and enhancing the mind-body connection.
Reformer Pilates
A low-impact, full-body workout that strengthens and tones while enhancing flexibility, mobility, and healthy alignment. The session flows through a curated sequence of exercises set to funky, upbeat music, using the reformer machine to support smooth, controlled movement.
Breathwork Session
A guided breathing practice that uses a continuous, rhythmic breath to gently quiet the mind and open the body’s natural capacity for healing and insight. Through this intentional breathing, stored tension and emotions can surface and release, creating space for clarity, emotional balance, and deeper connection to yourself. It’s a powerful yet accessible journey inward.
Sound Healing Session
An immersive sound journey using healing frequencies to calm the nervous system and support deep relaxation. A meditative experience that works on both physical and subtle levels.
Yin & Massage
A deeply restorative yin practice where long supported holds invite the body to soften and surrender. This is combined with gentle massage techniques and essential oils to help release tension and create space for rest and relaxation.
Jungle Sauna & Ice Bath Experience
A contrast therapy experience set in nature. Heat, cold and breath come together to awaken the senses, boost circulation and cultivate resilience.
WHO THIS RETREAT IS FOR

It’s open to all experience levels, with options and variations offered throughout. As the practices include Dynamic Vinyasa and Pilates, a basic level of fitness or familiarity with movement is recommended so you can feel comfortable and enjoy the experience fully.
