6 - 12 SEPTEMBER 2026
led by Freya and Marilena
THE NOURISH RITUAL
A Yoga and Wellbeing Retreat
A one-week wellbeing retreat designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and feel properly restored.
Not the kind of “rest” that still leaves you tired. The kind that brings you back into your body, your breath, and your own rhythm.
Across the week you will move, breathe, eat well, learn simple self care rituals, and create space for your nervous system to settle. Expect strong, intelligent yoga, deeply nourishing Yin and Restorative practices, mindfulness, bodywork, and workshops you can actually take home, including massage and natural skincare rituals like making your own face masks.
This retreat is for people who want to feel stronger, calmer, and more grounded. Without the hype. Without the burnout.
MEET THE TEACHERS
-
FREYA
Freya is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) and massage therapist from the UK. She has taught internationally for over seven years and has called Sri Lanka home for the past three, living close to the ocean and the slower rhythm that genuinely supports wellbeing.
She is known for strong, grounded Vinyasa with clear structure, intelligent sequencing, and a teaching style that meets people where they are. Freya is also recognised for her hands-on assists and attention to detail, weaving breath and integration throughout class and using music intentionally to support presence and introspection.
Alongside yoga, she supports clients one to one with nutrition, both online and in person, working with people all over the world. She also works as a massage therapist in Sri Lanka, bringing a practical, body led approach to releasing tension and supporting recovery. Her work is evidence informed and focused on sustainable habits, better energy, calmer digestion, and helping people feel empowered & more at home in their bodies.

-
MARILENA
Marilena is an experienced yoga teacher with a background in Synergy Vinyasa Yoga, a style blending Vinyasa, Qi Gong, and physiotherapy, as well as Yin Yoga, where she integrates insights from TCM and Ayurveda.
Her childhood training in ballet continues to shape her teaching, bringing elements of free flow, intuitive movement, and embodied grace into her classes. As a trained Ayurveda Health Coach, she loves sharing the deeper wisdom of this ancient healing system.
Originally from Germany, Marilena has been living in Sri Lanka for the past four years with her husband and their young daughter.

WHY FREYA & MARILENA TOGETHER
Freya and Marilena met through their shared love for yoga and holistic living and have been working closely together for the past two years. During this time, they have co-taught 200-hour Vinyasa and Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings, developing a deep professional and personal connection.
Together, they embody a beautiful balance of yin and yang: Freya is known for her strong, dynamic Vinyasa teaching, while Marilena brings softness and depth through nourishing Yin practices. Both share a passion for nutrition and love exchanging ideas, whether from a scientific perspective or through the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda.
Calling the south coast of Sri Lanka their home, they know the land, culture, and rhythms of this place by heart and are excited to share it with others.

Opening & Closing Circles
We begin and end the retreat in circle - a shared space to arrive, set intentions and reflect. These moments anchor the experience, creating connection, presence and a sense of closure before returning home.
Vinyasa Yoga
Dynamic and fluid practices linking breath and movement. Vinyasa sessions are designed to build strength, focus and embodied awareness, always adapted to the energy of the group.
Yin Yoga
A slow, grounding practice focusing on deep connective tissues. Yin invites stillness, patience and release, creating space both in the body and the mind.
Slow Flow
A mindful, unhurried flow that emphasizes smooth transitions and conscious movement. Ideal for cultivating balance, stability and a deeper connection to breath.
Restorative Yoga / Yoga Nidra
Deeply nourishing practices dedicated to rest and nervous system regulation. Supported postures and guided relaxation allow the body to fully let go and recharge.
Mindfulness Workshops
Practical sessions exploring mindfulness tools for everyday life. Through guided exercises and reflection, we cultivate awareness, presence and emotional clarity.
Self-Care Workshops
Hands-on workshops focused on self-care rituals, including massage techniques and natural skincare practices. An invitation to reconnect with the body through touch and intention.
Inversion Workshop
A playful and empowering exploration of inversions. We focus on technique, alignment and confidence, approaching inversions as a journey of curiosity rather than performance.
Sound Healing Session
An immersive sound journey using healing frequencies to calm the nervous system and support deep relaxation. A meditative experience that works on both physical and subtle levels.
Beach Yoga Experience
A special yoga practice held by the ocean, guided by breath, rhythm and natural elements. Moving with the sound of the waves, we reconnect with nature and simplicity.
Jungle Sauna & Ice Bath Experience
A contrast therapy experience set in nature. Heat, cold and breath come together to awaken the senses, boost circulation and cultivate resilience.
One 60-Minute Massage
Each guest will enjoy a personalized 60-minute massage - a dedicated moment for deep relaxation, release and restoration.
