Every evening, the pink gate opens.

Behind it: an Italian chef. In Sri Lanka, that's already worth knowing. A kitchen where Italian technique meets the best of what the south coast has to offer. Homemade pasta. Fresh seafood from the village fishermen. The same ones you might spot on the beach that afternoon. Vegetables from the nearby market. Basil from our own garden. And a selection of local cheeses crafted in Sri Lanka by a French cheesemaker. Because this island has a way of surprising you, even at the table.

Come for aperitivo as the sun goes down. Stay for dinner under the stars.

THE CAFÉ

A slow café among the rice fields.

The Café is at the Paddy Lodge, surrounded by the rice fields of Ahangama. Arrive without a plan. A moka coffee, a cold-pressed juice, a sourdough toast, something sweet from the counter. A light bite when you're not in a hurry, an afternoon merenda when you are.

The natural stop before a yoga class, the perfect decompression after pilates, or simply somewhere to sit and let the day move at its own pace. Which is the only pace that makes sense here.

Yes. The Casa Tikiri Dinner Restaurant is open every evening from 6 PM to 10 PM and welcomes all guests, not only those staying at the hotel. Reservations are recommended. As an adults-only property, the restaurant is open to guests aged 18 and over.
Casa Tikiri Dinner Restaurant serves Italian-inspired cuisine made with local Sri Lankan ingredients. Led by an Italian chef, the menu features homemade pasta, fresh seafood from local fishermen, seasonal vegetables, and Italian classics reinterpreted with the flavours of southern Sri Lanka. The menu changes seasonally.
